Anodes for Dock Piers and Jetties

The piles on jetty piers and platforms are often uncoated, or partially coated, from the top down to seabed level. The size of the anodes for such structures depends on the design life of the structure and the coating condition of the piles. The number of anodes required to protect a structure depends on the coating and the surface area of the anodes.
On marine steel structures, the anodes are typically fitted shortly after piling, by use of mechanical clamps to avoid any damage on the coating.
It is suggested to install doubler plates or clamp supports on piles prior to piling.
For clamp type anodes the electrical contact is made through heavy-duty contact bolts or through welded contact strips. Accessories for anode installations are designed and provided by our company.
The back face of flush mounted anodes is painted in accordance with client specifications.
Stainless steel accessories are not recommended because their potential is lower than the potential of steel and may cause bimetallic corrosion.
